From Rome: Half-Day Frascati Wine Tour with Farmhouse Lunch

About This Experience
This half-day starts at Frascati station and covers the town and a family wine farmhouse in about 4 hours. It is the fuller of the Minardi family's two farmhouse-lunch tours: you begin with a guided walk through Frascati's historic center, with a glass of local wine and a traditional snack in town, before the drive out to the vineyards. It costs from $100 per person and holds a 4.9 rating from 524 GetYourGuide reviews.
After the town walk, a short transfer takes you to the farmhouse, which the operator places about 7 minutes from Frascati in the valleys where the local wine grows. The family has worked these vines and olive trees for nine generations, and you visit the vineyard and the old cellar where they once made jug wine. A guided tasting of three family wines follows, with their extra virgin olive oil, and the visit ends with a lunch of local specialties cooked by the farmhouse chef.
The train from Roma Termini is not included. The operator suggests the 9:49 a.m. train (9:54 a.m. on Sundays, 8:54 a.m. on Saturdays), and the ride takes about 30 minutes; Trenitalia's regional fare is €2.10 each way (checked October 2026). Your host meets you outside the station entrance, and at the end you are driven back to the station for the train to Rome. You can also come by car or taxi; drivers are asked to reach Frascati around 10:05 a.m. to find parking.
Pick this one if you want to see Frascati itself as well as a family vineyard, with a seated lunch to close the morning. Guiding is in English, and the listing marks the tour as unsuitable for wheelchair users. The same family runs two variations from the same station: a pasta masterclass at the same $100 price, and a shorter 3-hour wine tour with lunch from $83 that skips the town walk.

What Travelers Say
Rated 4.9/5 by 524 verified GetYourGuide travelers.
We had an incredible tour from start to finish! Our guide was super friendly, extremely welcoming, and shared so much fascinating information about the area throughout the day. The wine and olive oil tastings were delicious, but the highlight was definitely the lunch. The atmosphere was vibrant and amazing, especially with the private live music performance, which was such a wonderful unexpected surprise! As a small suggestion for improvement: while the biscuits served after lunch were delicious, but many people at our table were hoping for a classic local dessert (like a tiramisu, for instance). Also, while the lunch was very tasty, the portion sizes felt a bit small for those with larger appetites, particularly some of the men in our group. Overall, it was a memorable and fantastic experience. Highly recommended!

Exceptional! We have done a few wine tours throughout Europe but this was by far the best. Informative walk around Frascati, local wine in the Taverna followed by sampling of the white and red wines at the farm and a fantastic, very filling lunch and entertainment provided by Antonio! Would highly recommend.
